Information About Carawell and it’s Origins
Carawell Counseling, PLLC opened in March 2019 in Charlotte, NC. After practicing as a solo practitioner in private practice for over 20 years, Christine Simpson expanded her practice to provide more individuals and families with the opportunity to work with therapists who, like her, offer a high standard of practice and knowledge in their area of expertise. Carawell therapists believe in the importance of establishing a safe, nurturing and validating environment in their work, and our initial goal is connecting with clients to help them grow toward wholeness and wellness.
With that goal in mind, the name “Carawell” was uniquely chosen based on the Celtic meaning of the word “Cara” which is related to our connection to one another. Christine Simpson loves her Irish heritage and chose this word knowing that in Celtic tradition an Anam “Cara” is a teacher, companion or spiritual guide. The logo for Carawell is the Celtic Triskelion which represents movement, progress and wholeness with the 3 extensions of the triskele meaning “past, present, and future” as well as “spirit, mind, and body.”
At Carawell Counseling, we believe in the significance of the mind/body connection in healing. We believe in working from the past, with your present and toward your future with authentic connection and wholeness in the restoration of yourself and your relationships. We believe in you and your ability to change and grow.
