I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Wofford College in Spartanburg, SC in 2009. I received my Masters of Social Work (MSW) and certification in Animal Assisted Social Work (AASW) from the University of Denver in Colorado in 2015. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in NC and have specialized training in the treatment of Postpartum Mood Disorders. I am a native of Columbia, SC and moved to Denver, CO for grad school. In 2019, my husband and I relocated back to the East Coast with our toddler son and two dogs. Earlier this year, welcomed our baby girl. In my “spare” time, I enjoy being with my family and relaxing at the beach.
My clinical interest is the treatment of women’s issues including perinatal mood disorders, anxiety, depression, stress, parenting and life transitions. I approach work with clients by looking at the whole person, both mind and body, to determine and utilize the most appropriate evidence-based treatment.
I know the challenges in creating and maintaining balance in life. I have learned that each person’s journey towards emotional wellness is unique, and I consider it a privilege to be part of your journey.
