I earned my Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Albany – State University of New York. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Associate) and have specialized training in the treatment of Postpartum Mood Disorders and Perinatal Mental Health. I am married and the mother of 2 young adult children, so I know the challenges of parenting, balancing work and life, and working to maintain good self care.
I enjoy working with women, older adolescents and adults who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, parenting issues, family dynamics, anger, relationships concerns, school/work stressors, and unhealthy communication patterns. My specialty is with women’s issues and particularly those women who are dealing with maternal mental health issues. My therapeutic approach is integrative and tailored to meet the treatment needs of each client. I believe in the power of each individual to grow and change and am honored to be a part of that process for those who are interested and invested.
