I use a mix of skill-building techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), along with insight-oriented, deeper work. My approach is rooted in person-centered therapy and focused on building a trusting relationship. Often, exploring your history and family patterns can reveal helpful strategies, including strengthening personal boundaries, improving self-image, and developing healthy communication. I strive to provide a safe and inclusive space, mindful of how your environment and culture may shape your experiences and needs.

I earned my Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, following an early career in public and corporate libraries. During my clinical training, I worked with individuals experiencing domestic violence and adult survivors of abuse. This trauma-informed foundation continues to guide my practice today. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in North Carolina and provide both in-person and telehealth sessions for NC residents.

I am a provider for Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Meritain, and MedCost. While I am not a provider for United Healthcare, Carawell Counseling can provide a superbill for submission toward out-of-network benefits.
