For over 33 years, I have worked to bring healing to people of all ages as they work to overcome their life challenges. I provide individual and family therapy to those aged 25 and older. My specialties are the treatment of anxiety and depression, women’s issues, life transition issues, relationship issues and parenting challenges. I am a Certified Integrative Mental Health Practitioner and focus on treatment from a more holistic approach. I incorporate body work as an approach to help create mind/body healing. I especially enjoy working with highly sensitive persons (HSP) and have specialized training in psychotherapy with this population. I am approved as a HSP-knowledgeable therapist by Elaine Aron, a pioneer in the study of high sensitivity.

A Charlotte native, I am married and have both a young adult son and daughter. I am a graduate of North Carolina State University (GO WOLFPACK!) where I received my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work (BSW). I received my Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from East Carolina. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in North Carolina and am Licensed as an Independent Social Worker-CP to provide telehealth services for South Carolina residents. I also hold a certification in the treatment of Postpartum Mood Disorders and Perinatal Mental Health.

I am a provider for Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Meritain and Medcost insurance programs. While I am not a provider for Cigna or United Healthcare, I can provide you with a superbill for submission toward out-of-network benefits.
