Bonnie Anderson

MSW, LCSWA

In getting to know me, you must know that, above all, I am a peddler of hope, a tireless advocate for the limitless capabilities and resilience of human beings. If you are struggling, I’m here for you. I use a person-centered, strengths-based, and solution-focused approach, utilizing the past to inform the present and move you towards the future you want to create. I’m trained in several treatment modalities including CBT, ACT, and IFS allowing me to create a unique strategy for your healing.

I’m a mom of a blended family of 5 children ranging from 16 to 4, so I know first-hand the height of the joy and the depth of the pain that comes with birthing and raising children. Additionally, I’ve worked with moms, caregivers, and new families for over 12 years as a babywearing educator and community group leader, helping them learn new skills and walking with them through their transition to parenthood. This lived experience sparked an enduring passion for supporting families through the reproductive years. In addition to training in the modalities mentioned above, I’m Postpartum Support International, Inc. (PSI) trained in perinatal mental health disorders.

On a personal note, I’m a Charlotte native and a double graduate of UNC Charlotte with a Bachelor’s in Psychology (’03) and a Masters in Social Work (’24). I obtained my Peer Support Certification in 2021 and have worked on a Community Support Team and with a Community Doula Program. In my spare time, I enjoy riding rollercoasters with my kids, attending sound baths and women’s circles, and podcasting with my fellow therapist husband.

If you would like help creating the life you’ve always wanted to live, I would be honored to talk with you.
I am currently seeing clients both in person and via telehealth. I am in network with Aetna and Cigna/Evernorth, and will soon be in network with BCBS, Medcost, and CBHA. I am seeing all other clients using their out of network benefits.
